Aged 58 years

Severe affliction kindly sent in love

Led him to Christ and trained him for above

The end now seen how short how light appears

The longest sufferings he experienced here

 

Also of Alfred George Smith their son

Who died September 26th 1888 aged 15 years

Also of Lydia Mary Smith their daughter

Who died August 18th 1892 aged 15 years

Much do we need a heavenly friend

Who can our helpless souls defend

To Guide our youthful feet
